Luna china,

La luna è la protagonista del trailer ufficiale della V Edizione di Animaphix che si è svolta a Villa Cattolica a Bagheria nel 2019. Una luna che rappresenta una mancanza, di casa, di una terra e delle sue magie. Del suono del vento e delle onde, di un profumo di salsedine misto all’odore dei dolci. Si ispira ad una leggenda palermitana, quella delle “Sette fate”, donne e streghe, che di notte davano la possibilità all’uomo di conoscere cose incredibili, come le profondità dell’oceano o l’immensità del cielo. Affidandosi alla luna piena (china), forse, quella mancanza può essere colmata, e si può tornare proprio in quella terra tanto amata e distante.

The moon is the protagonist of the official trailer of the 5th Edition of Animaphix which took place at Villa Cattolica in Bagheria in 2019. A moon that represents a lack, of home, of a land and its magic. A lack of the sound of the wind and the waves, of a scent of salt mixed with the smell of sweets. It is inspired by a Palermitan legend, that of the “Seven fairies”, women and witches, who in the night gave man the possibility of knowing incredible things, such as the depth of the ocean or the immensity of the sky. By relying on the full moon (in Sicilian dialect ‘luna china’), perhaps, that lack can be filled, and you can go back to that much loved and distant land.
