In mezzo a tre oceani, con una natura strabiliante e non ancora influenzata dall’industralizzazione, Papua è il luogo più simile al paradiso terrestre che possiamo immaginare. Ha una diversità etnica unica al mondo, più di un migliaio di tribù, con dialetti e costumi diversi e pieni di colori. Vivono di pesca, caccia e agricoltura, rispettano la ciclicità naturale e per questo si spostano periodicamente, affinché la terra e il mare abbiano il tempo di rigenerarsi. Ma Papua e i suoi abitanti sono tanto affascinanti quanto misteriosi, selvaggi e pericolosi. Alcune tribù praticano ancora l’antropofagia, riti esoterici, magia nera, perfino la caccia alle streghe che fino al 2013 era consentita dalla legge. Il compito principale della donna è quello di procreare, all’interno di questa società assolutamente maschilista e misogina è considerata come un oggetto di proprietà del marito.“MUN” è una mostra immersiva, che si pone come unico obiettivo quello di coinvolgere il fruitore in una esperienza visiva/uditiva alla scoperta di una civiltà così controversa, che respinge e attira allo stesso tempo. Colori e luci definiscono un’atmosfera magica e selvaggia, la stanza buia fa avanzare cautamente il visitatore che si trova in uno spazio estraneo pieno di rumori e suoni lontani da quelli della città.

In the middle of three oceans, with an amazing nature not yet influenced by industrialization, Papua is the closest place to earthly paradise that you can imagine. It has an ethnic diversity unique in the world, with more than a thousand tribes, with different dialects and colorful customs. They live by fishing, hunting and farming, respecting the cyclicity of the nature and therefore move periodically, so that both land and sea have time to regenerate. But Papua and its inhabitants are as fascinating as they are mysterious, wild and dangerous. Some tribes still practice anthropophagy, esoteric rites, black magic, even the Witch-hunt that until 2013 was allowed by law. The main task of the woman is to procreate, within this absolutely masculine and misogynistic society she is considered as an object owned by her husband. “MUN” is an immersive exhibition, which aims to involve the visitor in a visual/auditory experience to discover a controversial civilization, which rejects and attracts at the same time. Colors and lights define a magical and wild atmosphere, the dark room make visitor move forward cautiously as he is in an alien space full of noises and sounds distant from those of the city.
